Flay Lay Photography for Product & Brand Styling
Entry No. 9
David Brier, a branding expert once said, "If you don’t give the market the story to talk about, they’ll define your brand’s story for you."
Whether you are a business, entrepreneur, creative individual, or small business owner, creating a brand identity can catapult your success to new levels.
Aside from brand colors, mission statement, ethos, & logo, your social media presence & product photography is one special way to achieve the brand identity you are hoping to create.
As a freelance product photographer, I help small brands & well-known brands alike by creating images {as well as social media content} so that they can put their brand out into the universe.
When photographing for a business, I do so in a creative manner, but I edit in a true-to-life matter. When photographing brand photography, I make it a priority to tell a story & have a common theme throughout the product photos.
Take this action camera, pool flay lay setup for example. I want the viewer to feel as if they're about to step on the edge of a pool or pack up their beach bag & head to the beach.
Subtle photography touches such as water droplets on the GOPRO telepods, little seashells scattered about, as well as a pool towel in the photo's corner all help convey this message.
Flat Lay photography can be a really powerful marketing tool when establishing your brand's image. It is a way to add your brand's color scheme into your social media grids as well as your website. It is also a way that viewers {potential consumers} can see your product{s} in action.
