A Day at the Annual Dog Swim at Neshannock Swimming Pool Association
There’s something especially fun about photographing dogs when they’re completely in their element — and the annual dog swim at Neshannock Swimming Pool Association in New Castle, Pennsylvania, was exactly that.
For one afternoon, the pool was filled with happy dogs, wet noses, wagging tails, and plenty of splashing. From dogs confidently jumping into the water to those who were a little more hesitant, every pup had their own personality on display.
I focused on capturing the event as a lifestyle photographer rather than simply photographing posed portraits. The goal was to document the little moments that made the day memorable — dogs swimming, playing, shaking off water, interacting with their people, and enjoying a summer afternoon together.
Events like this are some of my favorite opportunities to photograph pets because the images feel candid and genuine. They tell the story of what it was actually like to be there.
This gallery is a collection of those moments: colorful, playful, and completely dog-centered.
Photography focus: Pet lifestyle photography, event photography, candid dog photography.
