Summer & spring offer ample photography opportunities to capture moments as well as products in a fun & engaging way.
Here, in this blog post, I want to share photos I shot for LuminAID, a solar lantern company that was actually featured on Shark Tank. Ther lanterns charge by solar energy aka the sun & they can actually charge your phone/tablets too. Not only do they make excellent outdoor companions, but LuminAID Twist Solar Lanterns inflate with a simple twist. Yes, they also deflate with a simple twist, folding down flat to pack in your bag. The original LuminAID Solar Lantern inflates by blowing it up.
When shooting the LuminAID Wireless Sunfox Speaker, I went with a shabby chic/she shed theme. Here, it was achieved by using a white sandstone background along with simple she shed-inspired props.
When photographing the lanterns, I went with an outdoor summer picnic theme. Here, you can see the red checkered napkin in the photo corners {matching the red lantern handle} as well as pieces of fried chicken.
For the light green lantern, also going with a summer outdoor theme, pink tennis balls accented the lantern's green handle.
Shooting the solar lanterns at night, I choose to photograph them either against lush green bushes or on a covered front porch to maximize the lanterns' glow. each lantern had a different glow. The red handle lantern glowed different shades of white as well as a bright red. The same colors are applied to the lime green handle lantern as well as a fun purple, green, and blue glow!
